As the leading trade promotion organization in Taiwan for over 30 years, TAITRA has been playing a valuable role in assisting both Taiwanese and foreign enterprises expand their business and establish ideal partnerships. In order to provide a more systemized and customized service for foreign investors, TAITRA established the Business Alliance Section in January 2004 to serve as the taskforce that would spearhead the government's business alliance mission. The Business Alliance Section works together with its overseas branch offices to attract foreign investments to Taiwan. Targeted industries range from high-tech industries, such as the ICT, optoelectronics, semiconductor, biotech, and autotronics, to service industries, including the IT service industry, logistics, healthcare, financial and insurance, leisure and tourism. Since the establishment of the Business Alliance Section, it has generated over 400 potential investment cases, among which over 90 investment cases have been fulfilled. Apart from its strong network with its offices around the globe, TAITRA also keeps a close relationship with Taiwan's local investment authorities. The active interaction with respective government bodies and industry associations enables the Business Alliance Section a speedy access to a rich pool of resources and up-to-date information on investment incentives and trade opportunities within the different parts of Taiwan. |
